A self-taught Artist, Kyle Dixon grew up in the shadow of the Cape Lookout Lighthouse and was inspired by the beauty of the North Carolina coast its people, wildlife and its history. Kyle developed a love for art at a young age and has dedicated his God given talent to preserving a quickly fading lifestyle. He has won several awards for his depiction's of NC wildlife including the best of show at the 07 NCTA in original art. He most recently received first place for "The Marsh Angle".

His work can be found in private collections throughout the country. Kyle and his brother Buddy opened Call of the Wild wildlife studio in Beaufort NC in 2005 to show case there along with other local and national artist work. He is an avid decoy collector a member of the Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild, Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, NC Taxidermy Association, Ducks Unlimited, the CCACC and is acting president and a founding member of The North Carolina Wildlife Artist Society.
