ABOUT THE ARTIST - Lena Ennis
Lena grew up on the beautiful Crystal Coast of North Carolina and lives there today. She became involved in art at an early age; learning to draw and paint from her grandmother, a southwestern landscape artist and attended the School of Art at East Carolina University. She has been a commerical and freelance artist for many years.
Her work has won numerous awards on local, national and international levels. She has been selected as a "Featured Artist" for the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and the North Carolina Seafood Festival. Her wildlife art has appeared in the NC Wildlife Resources Commission Calendar mulitple times and it has placed in the Top Ten for the NC Duck Stamp Competition.
"I have a passion for drawing and painting the world around me, for as long as I can remember, I've had a pencil in my hand trying to capture what I see. Each piece, once created, becomes a part of who I am and how I view the world. It is nice to be ableto share those experiences with others through my art".
